Jack Johnson Takes It To the Sea

Jack Johnson’s summer U.S. tour is only part of the larger, greener picture that he sees. Promoting his latest record, To the Sea, Johnson is staging his sixth annual Kokua Festival in Honolulu on April 23-24. He’ll hit the Country Throwdown and Bonnaroo next. Then a jaunt across the pond before landing back in the Lower 48 in early July.

We Are Still and Always the World

I just finally watched the new “We Are the World” video and, I must confess, I didn’t recognize a lot of the faces. When the original version came out 25 years ago, I could imitate all of the voices because I knew them. It was Cyndi Lauper and Bruce Springsteen, for heaven’s sake. But I didn’t know who Isaac Slade is without the help of the Google (and I only put the name to the face because of a bonus interview clip).

Brandi Carlile, Indigo Girls Launch Fight the Fear Campaign

Brandi Carlile and the Indigo Girls are teaming up once again, and this time it’s off-stage.

As one of the founders of the Fight the Fear Campaign: The Quest for Confidence Through Strength, Inspired by the Life of Teresa Butz, Brandi recruited her friends Amy Ray and Emily Saliers to record a song with her that will be released this month with proceeds going to the campaign.
