The Secret’s Out

I never knew too much about James Arthur Ray’s breakthrough project, The Secret. The bits I’d heard about it actually pissed me off and scared me, in equal parts, like all of those one-size-fits-all, self-help, get-rich-quick schemes. As irenic as their intentions may be, they are not much more than snake oil sales for the 21st century. Matters of Spirit (or even spirit) can not be simplified into a five-word catchphrase, a five-minute visualization, or a five-step process.
