Thanks to Spotify, I’ve been rummaging through the music of my youth. High school, in particular. Tunes like “Don’t Disturb This Groove” and “Holding Back the Years” totally transport me back to those confusing and tortured years of adolescence. Apparently, I was a big R&B fan back then.
Trent Dabbs may well be the hardest working man in Nashville. As a consummate collaborator, Dabbs has co-written tunes with Ashley Monroe, Mat Kearney, Gabe Dixon, Katie Herzig, Matt Wertz, Dave Barnes, Matthew Perryman Jones, and others.
There are a number of arenas in life where it really is the thought that counts. Unfortunately, exercise isn’t one of them. I don’t at all mind contemplating fitness; it’s the actuality of the activity that bums me out. Much as I’d like to be, I’m just not one of those people who love to exercise.
There are a few fall tours I’m looking very forward to, mostly due to personal connections with and/or deep affection for the artists.
